Spend less time managing unwanted hair. The CURA Bare Collection uses MEDIK808 Diode Laser technology to support long-term hair reduction, with a plan tailored to your skin, hair and treatment area. Start with a complimentary consultation at CURA skin.
Laser energy is absorbed by pigment in the hair and converted into heat, targeting the follicle to reduce its ability to produce future hair growth. Because hairs grow in different cycles, treatment usually involves a series of appointments rather than one visit.
CURA skin uses the MEDIK808 triple-wavelength diode platform. Your skin and hair assessment guides the approach. Learn about the device on our CURA Technology page.
Which areas can be treated?
The Bare Collection includes options for the face and body. Common areas discussed at CURA skin include the upper lip and chin, underarms, arms, legs, bikini areas, chest, abdomen, back and shoulders.
The area, hair colour and thickness, skin type and previous hair-removal routine all help determine suitability. A consultation is particularly useful if you are unsure whether your hair has enough pigment to respond.
Your consultation and treatment plan
At CURA skin we begin by discussing your goals, skin and hair characteristics, health history and previous treatments. Tell us about changes in your skin, recent sun exposure and the products or medications you use.
During your treatment you may feel warmth or a light snapping sensation. The MEDIK808 incorporates cooling to support comfort. Your provider will explain the approach, possible reactions and care instructions before treatment begins.
Preparing for laser hair removal
Ask for preparation instructions for your chosen area. CURA skin’s existing guidance includes avoiding tanning and sun exposure before treatment, avoiding waxing or plucking, and shaving the area as directed before your visit.
Confirm the timing with your provider, including when to pause particular skincare products. Contact the clinic before your appointment if the skin becomes irritated or your health circumstances change.
Aftercare and realistic expectations
Temporary redness or swelling can occur. Follow the clinic’s instructions about sun protection, skincare, heat and exercise while the area recovers. Discuss suitable home-care products, including Biomedika Skincare, rather than applying unfamiliar products immediately after treatment.
The goal is long-term reduction in hair growth. Permanent removal of every hair is not promised. Hair growth cycles, hormonal influences and individual response can affect progress, and maintenance treatments may be recommended.
Results and number of treatments vary. Your plan is reviewed as treatment progresses. For additional background, see our Results & FAQ page.
