Personalised care at CURA skin

Advanced Skin Treatments in Cambridge, Ontario

Explore options for uneven tone, texture, dullness and other skin concerns. This guide brings CURA skin’s Pico treatments, carbon laser peels, chemical peels and targeted collections together, so you can discuss a suitable starting point at consultation.

Pico skin treatments

The MEDIKYAG Pico platform delivers short pulses of laser energy to target pigment. CURA skin’s treatment collections also include approaches for the appearance of skin texture and signs of ageing. Your skin concern and assessment determine which approach, if any, is suitable.

The Age-Defy Collection focuses on skin rejuvenation; the Clarity Collection addresses uneven tone and pigmentation concerns; and the Refine Collection focuses on texture and pores. The Calm Collection is offered for visible redness concerns following assessment.

Read about the device on our CURA Technology page. For tattoo pigment, see our separate tattoo removal guide.

Carbon laser peels

The Carbon Collection, also known as the Hollywood Facial, combines an applied carbon gel layer on the skin, using the laser to make each bead explode like microscopic fireworks. The Carbon particles absorb the laser energy, creating a photoacoustic reaction that removes oil, debris, dead skin cells and bacteria from the pores, while gently heating the superficial dermis.

A carbon laser peel uses a different approach from a chemical peel. Your provider can explain what each involves and whether either is appropriate for your skin. Recovery and results vary.

Chemical peels

The Glow Collection uses Biomedika clinical peeling formulations to exfoliate the skin and support renewal. A consultation helps match the approach to concerns such as dullness, uneven tone or rough texture.

The degree of peeling and recovery can vary. Visible flaking is not a reliable way to judge your eventual result. Ask your provider about preparation, sun protection, product use and the expected recovery before choosing a treatment.

Targeted skin concerns

The Precision Collection brings together individually assessed concerns, including localised pigmentation, the appearance of scars and other skin irregularities. These are assessed individually rather than treated as a routine sequence.

Use the consultation to discuss the area, its history and any changes you have noticed. Treatment is recommended only after suitability is established; listing a concern does not mean every presentation is appropriate for cosmetic treatment.

Combined treatment programmes

The Elite Collection includes programmes that bring together selected treatments for broader skin goals or preparation for an event. The mix and timing should be based on your skin, recovery needs and priorities.

Some programmes include microneedling alongside peels or other skin treatments. A combined programme does not guarantee a particular outcome. Explore Elite Collection programmes and pricing.

Choosing your next step

You do not need to choose a device or collection before visiting. Start with the concern you would like to discuss. Our Skin Concerns guide offers another way to explore the site.

At your complimentary consultation at 128 Queen Street West in Cambridge, discuss your goals, health and skin history, previous treatments, skincare and medications. Ask about preparation, possible reactions, aftercare and recovery. Follow the individual instructions provided, including guidance on sun protection and returning to your usual routine.

Results and treatment requirements vary from person to person. While our goal is to achieve meaningful, visible improvement, individual results cannot be guaranteed and no specific number of treatments can be promised. Visit our Results & FAQs page for additional information, and refer to our Treatment & Pricing page for current treatment options and pricing.

Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation.
